A collection of photos documenting the end of humanity, as seen through the AI billboards all over San Francisco.
Shot with a used Canon AE-1 from @cumberlandcameras. Film processed and negatives scanned by Underdog Film Lab in Oakland, by way of Glass Key Photo in San Francisco. This was my first time using film.
Fin.ai is the name of an AI agent for customer service. There is another billboard before this one that explains what Fin.ai does. The two billboards are visible from nearby highway 101; drivers see both. But for the masses on the street looking up, they only see a sign that says "end" and "AI". Shot on Harrison between 3rd and 4th St in SoMa, using Kodak T-MAX 100. November 2025
This billboard is special in that it's the only one in SF from OpenAI (as far as I've seen). Other companies tend to put their ads on every billboard, bus shelter, and train station in the city. In this shot I captured the tail end of an autonomous vehicle from Zoox (far left). The man standing next to the car works for San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA). He was painting the curb -- arguably one of the few jobs that AI won't replace. Shot at Bryant and 6th St in SoMa, using Kodak T-MAX 100. November 2025
A billboard for an AI company right next to one about losing faith in god. Oh, the irony. Just as ironic: a billboard for recruiting technology in a neighborhood where homeless/jobless people live. Shot at Mission and 8th St in SoMa, using Kodak T-MAX 100. November 2025

This shot is interesting because it was taken right around the corner from a large ghost kitchen, at noon (lunchtime). The street was teeming with delivery drivers on scooters waiting to pick up orders, like the guys at the bottom right. AI will replace gig jobs like this.
